Double Exposure
So yeah, these were my double exposure projects. The first picture is of a fictitious vigilante who I think is named 'Rorshach'. I decided to blend a black and white, blotted background w/ the character; meant to depict his inane, fractured sense of justice. The second is inspired by the introduction sequence of The Man In The High Castle tv show, where the Axis Powers won the Second World War and conquered the United States (believe me, just watch the opening crawl of season two and your jaw will drop). The third and final double exposure is of the same two as the previous one, just w/ the Rising Sun flag restricted inside the structure of the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, this came across as more candy cane looking than I'd expected (this was my first attempt at using the program). My ultimate goal in each was to try and seamlessly mix two pictures together--unless you haven't noticed, I didn't do so well a job of that. Needless to say, I'm more than willing to continue working on this project if I ever have spare time. Throughout this assignment, I constantly referred back to the brush tool as well as the layer mask. In all honesty, perhaps the easiest/hardest part of this project was selecting the right layer to paint white/black on--depending on what picture I wanted to be dominant.
